Furniture

Even though the bedding hasn't arrived, we have gotten two key pieces of furniture for the nursery! We got the dresser/changing table and we got the crib! We got them both at Burlington Coat Factory, which escaped me as a baby supplies store until just the other week. Both pieces of furniture are discontinued styles, so we got a great deal on them.

Funny crib story: The crib we bought was the last one remaining in the store and was the floor model - already assembled! A couple of weeks ago, Guylene had warned me about assembling the crib inside the nursery, because it certainly wouldn't fit through the door, but that piece of advice escaped me for the time being. Dad and I went to the store to get the crib, and it fit inside the back of the Yukon with only an inch or two to spare. When we got it home, Guylene's words dawned on me. So yes, we got it home all in one piece, but Nick and Ryan certainly weren't going to get it into the house all in one piece! So they had to take it apart, move the pieces into the nursery, and then reassemble it. But it looks great! Right now the nursery is a mess, but I'll post a picture of it once we get it cleaned up a little bit.

Today the whole house is in disarray because Nick and Dad are replacing the countertop in the kitchen. And I'm hosting Book Club tonight at 7. Hope we can get the house cleaned up before then! :)

Book club? New counter?? Baby crib at Burlington Coat Factory???

My life equivalent to those adult items are:

Midnight poker game? Old grout?? New bathrobe from Ross Dress for Less???

Congrats on your awesomeness! I'm so happy you started this blog for us West Coasters!
