Today's pumping buddy

Look how cute he is!! I was all hooked up to the pump this morning when I hear a little scritch scratch scritch and I somehow maneuver my way around so I can peek into the trash can, and this adorable little guy was staring back up at me! Thus my dilemma: unhook myself and take care of the problem or just keep pumping and hope he didn't jump out.

I figured he looked small enough down there in that trash can so I decided to chance it, finish my pumping session, and then I let him outside. I hope he doesn't come back - he wreaked havoc in one of my desk drawers, shredding tea bags and chocolate bars and pooping all over the place. He is cute though, huh? I kind of wanted to take him home to Isabella...

Speaking of the pump, I am unfortunately attached to my pump more often than I would like. Since my last post, Bailey is STILL not nursing. I have given up the fight. It was such an emotional process to get my hopes up that maybe she would start nursing again and then have her scream and throw a fit whenever she saw the boob was just too much for me. So I am pumping with the intent to make it to 12 months (a lofty goal perhaps?). She is on 1 bottle of formula/day during the week, so we'll just see how the next few weeks shake out for me.

And speaking of Bailey...she is CRAWLING!! I got a little video of it last night so hopefully I can post that soon. She is so proud of herself! When she takes off, she is just so excited about it. She isn't quite to the point where she is crawling around just to crawl and get into things, but she will crawl towards a goal. Yesterday she slammed her face into the kitchen floor when she tried to bring her foot around while she was crawling. She got some leverage with it and BAM - face plant!

Eeeeek!!! Well, at least you weren't by yourself while pumping!

And UGH about the nursing strike. So frustrating! Praying something changes soon!
