The worst week
Bailey gave me quite a scare last week. It began while I was still working - she refused her bottles during the day. And refused to nurse at night. It seemed to be due to teething pain - she was working on her 2nd top front tooth. Didn't think too much of it until I was home with her and she still wasn't nursing. I was having to pump for her and she would only take milk out of a sippy cup. Well, it kept going and going and I was losing my milk supply and really starting to freak out. I was very emotional about the whole thing. She's not old enough to stop nursing, so she would have had to have had formula, which was never in the plans, and emotionally, I just wasn't ready to stop nursing my sweet baby! I worked on my milk supply to get that back up and then Bailey decided to give me an early Christmas present. Thursday morning, her tooth broke through and by the afternoon she was nursing again. Just like that - back to normal! She nursed for 45 minutes straight that night, which is the longest she'd ever nursed in her life! Isabella was the marathon nurser (and had the pounds to prove it!), not Bailey. So an 8 day nursing strike - it was awful. But we made it through and things are back to normal. Hopefully her future teeth don't cause that kind of problems! She really didn't have any other issues with that tooth, she didn't seem all that fussy nor was her sleep disrupted. But I guess that sucking really made it hurt. Big sigh of relief!
We had a great Christmas and were surprised by a big snowstorm. More pics and stories to come!

Oh I am SO glad everything worked out okay! I would have been freaking out too. That must have been one rough tooth! Poor Bailey (and poor Mommy!)
