So...my goal of 2 posts per month has not been achieved this past month. To those of you who are loyal blog followers, I apologize. The main reason is that I have reached my storage limit with Google, so I cannot upload any more pictures to my account without upgrading. Not a big problem - I hit 1 GB of storage in the almost exactly 4 years that I have been keeping up with this blog (that includes my short attempt at 365 (a photo a day) as well as my Book Club's blog). And for $5 per year, I get 5GB of storage...pretty good deal! I have just been too busy to actually sit down at my computer and commence with the upgrade.
I know Annie is dying to see the Asheville pics but sorry, you'll have to wait a bit longer. The good news is that the end of the school year is nearly here so hopefully that will afford me more time at the computer (for pleasure).
But I had to share these two videos (since they are a link to YouTube they don't count against my storage space on Google).
Bailey is walking! She was at about 2-5 steps for awhile but Mother's Day weekend (OMG, we went to the Durham Life and Science museum and had the best time! Pictures to come...after the upgrade...and after I get them from my dad's camera). Anyway, that weekend she really started taking off, purposely trying to walk from one place to another. She cracks us up, it makes her so happy! If she walks to a person, she squeals with delight (you can hear the beginning of her squeal in the 2nd video, but unfortunately I cut the rest of it off).
She is definitely happier since walking, although she is still in that transition stage where most of the time she just wants you to hold her hand and walk her EVERYWHERE (ow, back). She is a funny kid, I think she's going to have a great sense of humor and will more than likely be an entertainer. She is always trying to get people to pay attention to her. The other day at the park she made me walk her over to this other family, close enough that they turned around and talked to her, then she turned around and went back to where we were. Silly. And feisty. She throws fits (already) when she doesn't get her way, and it usually ends in her slamming her head against the floor (or a wall, or a mirror, or Isabella's head, if she's the one in Bailey's way). I think she's going to be a little handful!
Anyway, here are the videos for your enjoyment. I hope to find time to upgrade my account soon so I can get some more pictures up. And once school is out, hopefully I can update the blog more often. These girls are growing up so fast! They are awesome and I want to record everything about them!
And for my own personal pleasure, here is the post with Isabella's first walking video! Oh my gosh, the similarities are insane! Isabella's hair is way longer but wow, there is so much about them that is the same. But isn't it funny that Isabella crawled (slightly) earlier but Bailey walked earlier (by about 2 months).
