And summer comes to an end :(

It was inevitable, the end of summer. Back to work full time today. At least the pool is still open for a few more weeks (we found out last night it is open 2 weeks past Labor Day!!!!). I've had a great time this summer and while I'm excited about my new position, I am sad to leave the part-time status behind (until next summer!).

Isabella is enjoying being in Mrs. Pegi's class at school. She is at the stage where she is spinning all kinds of stories. They mostly all have the theme of: "at my work my brother Charlie..." Now before you get any crazy ideas, I am NOT pregnant and have no intention of becoming pregnant. Isabella has made up a 13 year old brother named Charlie and he works with her at her work, which sometimes is close, sometimes is far. Sometimes she has a beach and a pool and a lake at her work. Lately she "teaches math" at her work. And last night, I was showing her the radar map on my phone and she scrolled west, pointed to New Orleans, and said "this is where I work". Sometimes she works at NobleAcademyUNCG, other times at the UNCG basketball team, other times at the lake (where Nick just got transferred to, hooray! No more athletics!). She is quite funny. Thursday she had her 2nd trip to the dentist and she didn't cry at all! She did so well!

Bailey, as you can see from the picture above, loves books just about as much as her sister. However, it is a different kind of relationship. She usually reads a page or two, or lets us read a page or two, and then she's on to the next one. But she does love books and spends a lot of time with them, just not the whole book! She is starting to run, which happens to be why she has a bump on her head - she smacked it on the concrete at the pool. She likes school too, the teachers say she is really happy. Oh, I almost forgot to mention - Bailey got the chicken pox! It is so rare, we were celebrities at the doctor's office. The vaccine gave it to her, and she only ended up with about 4 or 5 pox and never felt bad (even though someone at daycare told me "I'm so surprised she never ran a fever, you know that's what pops them, right, the heat makes the blisters pop". Hmmm, really?). But it did put a damper on my last week of summer since we had to stay home for a few days because she was contagious. Oh well, that's behind us and hopefully her immunity has been boosted!

Well...gotta go to work :( I'm still going to try to stick to my 2 posts/month goal, even though it was hard enough during the summer when I wasn't working full time. I'll try hard, I promise! :)
