Isabella cracks me up with her labeling of animals. Since she began talking, she has used animal sounds instead of names for most animals (with the exception of CAT!!!). For example, she pants for dog, does bok bok for chicken, does her version of the elephant sound, moos for a cow, for a bird, she does the sound that a bird makes when it is flapping its wings (odd, I know, but you can blame that one on dada!). Now that she is learning more words, she can actually say the words for most of these animals now. But what cracks me up is when she says the word and uses the sound in the same sentence. Today she had let the dogs in the laundry room to get water and she was saying "doggie...doggie...doggie" over and over. Then she shut the door and said "bye bye (pant pant)". Funny girl.
Tonight we were listening to Raffi on the way home, to one of his CDs that was an absolute fav when she was a baby but has moved off the regular rotation for awhile. One song sings about meatballs and all of a sudden, we hear "meatballs meatballs" from the back seat.
This age is so fun!
Today is my Dad's birthday. Happy Birthday Grandbob!!
