The wonderful amazing Isabella

She just continues to amaze us each and every day! Her verbal and academic skills are growing by leaps and bounds! Part of it is just her age I think but being in daycare around 2 (and some 3) year olds has definitely helped. Each day I pick her up she just talks all the way home. She is saying a lot more 2-word phrases, attempting longer words, and growing her vocabulary every day.

She still enjoys counting but now she is into her ABCs, which she calls ABs. She will say ABCDFGHI and can also fill in the blanks if we say the alphabet and pause in certain places. She also knows WXYZ. She knows almost all uppercase letters and most sounds. She can also spy letters when we're out and about, even in the middle of a word.

Her colors have come along quickly too. At first everything was PINK! Then it was either pink or not pink. Now she knows gee (green), boo (blue), poopoo (purple), yawow (yellow), adowage (orange), back (black/brown) and white.

She is also starting to sing songs. Her first was 5 little monkeys jumping on the bed. Now she is venturing out into Twinkle Twinkle.

She still continues to do so great in shoo (school). After 2 days, she didn't cry anymore when Nick dropped her off! She also doesn't want to go home when I come pick her up! We are very thankful for such a smooth transition, and are glad we made the decision to put her in full-time daycare this year. Even though she has already contracted her first cold...thanks daycare. She hasn't been sick in months. Here we go...

The kids came back to school today. It was nice to see them all in the building again; all the hustle bustle. For as long as the school has been in existence, students have called teachers by their first names. This year, for a variety of reasons, we changed it to last names. It is going to be a hard transition for everyone, kids and teachers. And really, how do you pronounce Aceves anyway?

I will try to get up some more pictures...no, I can't do that, I haven't taken any pictures in weeks. But I have taken some video, so I'll try to get that up sometime soon.
