I had some fun today (and am trying to squeeze in lots of "down time stuff" before I go back to work this month) and took some adorable pictures of Bailey! She is so photogenic it is incredible! I couldn't pick just a few favorites so I included a slide show down at the bottom. What a cutie!
She learned to roll over the other day. She was just shy of 4 months. I try not to compare the girls but child development is fascinating to me, and it is so interesting to see how different they are already. Isabella was just over 5 months when she rolled over for the first time. This morning, Bailey was on her mat for awhile and didn't roll over, but spun around in a circle. She is a mover!
Luckily for us, the two things that the girls definitely have in common are that they are good sleepers and very good natured babies. Bailey is such a sweetheart. She is so smiley (as you can see from the pictures) and is very interested in everything, especially her sister. She pretty much only fusses when tired and she sleeps GREAT in the car.
We are so fortunate that our friend Libby has offered to keep her for us this year so that she doesn't have to start daycare so early. We love our daycare, and had heard great things about the infant room teacher. But really, 1 or 2-on-1 attention versus a possible 5-on-1 attention!?! We couldn't turn this opportunity down! So Bailey will get to hang out with Isabella's buddy Disa, who will be in school 3 mornings a week. Less exposure to germs, so hopefully fewer illnesses (we were lucky last year that Isabella didn't catch anything major, but she did have a runny nose and cough from August to April). AND we get to use cloth diapers again! Definitely a win-win-win-win situation!
Bailey right now is in a grabby-mouthy stage. She grabs EVERYTHING and most of it goes to her mouth. Isabella gets mad when Bailey grabs her hair or her shirt but we try to teach her to stay a little farther away from her if she doesn't like it, because Bailey will grab whatever she can reach. She is also very social. I took her to a meeting the other day at work and although she won't just sleep anywhere anymore, she did sleep for a bit, then she nursed, then I had her sitting up in my lap. She was talking and talking, like she wanted her input HEARD! She can also be a bit noisy with her babbles, coos, and laughs. We are really loving having little Bailey around!
