Yes, the Boots has started solids and yes, she is MESSY! We started her out with avocado (bottom 4 pictures). She was so excited about it - grabbing the spoon and shoving it in her mouth - but once it was in there, she was a little uncertain about how she felt. Part of it was that I just mashed up some avocado - I didn't puree it - so it was a little chunky. I don't think she liked the texture too much. These pictures are from the first night she ate. As you can see, Isabella wanted in on the action. Very sweet.
I called it - I knew she was going to be quite the messy eater. She is such a squirmy wormy, that it was quite inevitable to find food everywhere. I'm not really sure why we don't feed her naked, but that wouldn't really help all the food in her hair. She loves sweet potatoes! But her tendency while eating is to stick her fingers in her mouth as soon as the food goes in. So then she has it all over her fingers. And of course, her fingers go everywhere. Like the orange unibrow? We've also started applesauce, but I think it was a little too tart for her, so we had to mix it with sweet potatoes.
