Aunt Annie
Well, the era of a live-in aunt/dishwasher-unloader has come to an end. Annie moved to Asheville right after the New Year. It was very sad to see her go. We feel very lucky that she lived with us for nearly 5 months! It was great for the girls to get to know her so well by seeing her almost every day. The change in Isabella was very apparent, as she is always shy/"mean" around people at first. So to see her start off that way and end up asking "Is Annie Pannie home" every time we pulled in the driveway was a big deal. Isabella was very sad when Annie moved out. We went out to breakfast on her last day and on our way home she asked if Annie was going to live at our house. We told her no and she said "But I'm going to miss her. Are you sad too Mommy?" That brings tears to my eyes just writing it again. But the emotional toll on Isabella was short lived when she found out that Annie's room would be turned back into the playroom. The excitement over that helped her not be so sad. Every once in awhile, she'll say "I remember Annie. Mommy, do you remember Annie?" As if I could forget my sister!!
We look forward to visiting Aunt Annie in the mountains once it gets warmer and we wish her luck at her new job with Whole Foods!
