A big week!

I thought I'd post a few recent pictures since I haven't posted in so long. Things have been pretty busy lately!

Isabella had a big week last week! She rolled over for the first time (from back to stomach), she started sleeping without being swaddled, and she got her next set of shots and hardly cried! Oh yeah, AND she had her first experience with swinging! We went to the park with Isabella's friend Disa, who is a few months older and loves swinging. Isabella liked it too! I got a picture on my cell phone but I don't think I can upload it from there. Next time I'm bringing my camera! She isn't really good at rolling over yet, so she hasn't done it that much since, but she can do it! We were really nervous about how to get her to sleep unswaddled, but it really kind of happened by accident. I put her down in her crib the other night so that I could refill her humidifier. When I came back, she was half asleep!! So I turned off the light and replaced the paci in her mouth and held my breath. She slept through the night, and has been sleeping unswaddled ever since! She doesn't sleep quite as well. She makes more noises, and kind of wakes herself up more. But she is getting better at putting herself back to sleep, so that is good. She missed her 4 month shots at her 4 month appointment because she had the flu. So we scheduled them for a time when Nick and I could both be there (I really didn't want to take her for shots by myself). So almost a month later, we finally get the appointment scheduled. Nick calls me 2 minutes before the appointment and he is still 15 minutes away. So I had to do it by myself. But Isabella was a champ!! She hardly cried at all! It was much better than her 2 month appointment. I was so relieved!

What a beautiful little lady! And, where did she get all of that hair? I'm jealous. I was pretty much bald until around 18 months and 27 years later-- I still don't have that much! I know the two of you are happy about her sleeping through the night :) I didn't do that until I was five. Hmmm, I think I'll call my parents and apologize. Jenn and Nick, I'm glad you keep this blog. It is nice to be able to see how you all are doing. ---Catherine
