Here is Isabella in her new high chair. She is not eating...yet. We plan to start tomorrow with homemade rice "cereal" (ie ground up brown rice cooked until mushy). She is very excited about it, of course! She has been really watching us eat and reaching for our food.She is in love with her hands. Her hands are always moving, grabbing, shaking, being the center of her attention. She especially loves to have toys in her hands that make noise so that she can shake them. She also really enjoys dropping things on the ground, but only recently has she started actually looking at them once they are on the ground.
She is such a happy little girl most of the time! She is really smiling a lot and is starting to laugh more. She is still sleeping really well at night but naptime can be a real issue.
We bought her a bathing suit today! Our sitter told us that they tend to sell out fast so we went ahead and bought one. Well, two actually, one in size 12 mo and the other in size 18 mo. We'll return whichever one doesn't fit in a couple of months. It is a blue "surfer girl" suit that is actually a t-shirt and little "boy" shorts with a hawaiian print on it. Adorable! The suit has sun protection built in...can't start that too early. We are planning on joining the pool this summer. There is one in our neighborhood so close that we can walk there. The baby pool is phenomenal. We are so excited!
