Such a Fun Age!

Isabella is so much fun! She is such a good, sweet girl and is becoming more fun (and even funnier) by the day. I had given her the measuring cup to play with and next thing I know, she had gone to the pantry, gotten a bottle of whatever was convenient (in this case, A-1 sauce), and pretended to pour it in the cup. Sometimes she would twist the cap. Sometimes she would "drink" out of the cup. The ability that she has to mimic actions and to reinterpret actions just amazes me.

She is also really starting to be very interested in our reaction to things and if we laugh at something she does, she will do it again, and then laugh about it!
She is also turning into the "textbook toddler" in the area of independence. You read in all the books and websites about how toddlers want to be independent at the same time as being connected to mom and dad. She is good at playing by herself (especially outside, she LOVES to be outside), but will take a break every little while to find one of us and will usually come over for a hug before going back to what she was doing.

Today Heather couldn't keep her so she was at home and Nick and I split the afternoon. I came home a little after 2 to find Isabella walking around in the driveway (that is usually naptime). Well, she had been back in her room for an hour but Nick finally went back there when he heard a funny sound...she had somehow pulled her laundry hamper into her crib therefore leaving no room to lay down. We still don't understand how she managed to do that!
