40 Weeks, 5 days
Did you know in France (and many other countries), full term is considered 41 weeks instead of 40? So Guylene reminds me that if I lived somewhere else, I wouldn't be overdue yet. I keep reminding myself that I WANTED to be late. But now that I have made it to Spring Break, I am ready. I enjoyed myself today, lazing around all morning, then doing some stuff such as laundry, groceries, dishes, and dinner this afternoon. Another day or two of having lazy quiet time would be nice. But after that...she can be here! Last night we had some fierce thunderstorms, which I have heard can cause some women to go into labor. Some women. NOT this woman, evidently.
I am feeling well, though tired, of course. And it seems that every time I change positions, it causes me to have a contraction. Not labor contractions, as I have to keep reassurring Nick, but just regular Braxton-Hicks, not painful but increasingly more uncomfortable the bigger I get kind of contractions. You may have noticed that my face in the above pictures isn't as happy as in previous pictures that I have posted. Yeah, I guess I'm less happy at nearly 41 weeks than I was 2 weeks ago when I posted 38 week pictures.
More and more each day, I WANT A RED OAK! Nice and cold! I can't wait!! I drove by a Red Oak truck today, you know, with a BIG picture of a tall, ice cold glass of that heavenly beverage. Torture I tell you!
