Nick and I took a refresher childbirth class, which really did help get us in the mindset of having a baby! Even though I was not thrilled about spending a total of 4 of my evening hours sitting in an uncomfortable chair instead of laying on my couch, it was good for us. It was also good for Isabella to spend some time with my parents and have them put her to bed.
The third night of the class was a Big Brother/Big Sister class for the siblings. Isabella was pretty clingy for most of it - I think the newness of the hospital and all of the other adults and kids there really intimidated her. But she was interested in seeing the baby in the nursery and she warmed up enough by the end to practice diapering and swaddling.
