Merry Christmas!

Hope you and your family had a lovely Christmas! We did! My Granddad came up from Wilmington for a few days, which was nice. My aunt, uncle, and cousins came up from Tega Cay (just S of Charlotte) to join us for Christmas dinner. They hadn't met Isabella yet, so that was really fun! Sadly, Aunt Annie was not able to make the trip home this year for Christmas. We missed her terribly, but are looking forward to her visit sometime this spring or summer. We didn't have our camera out, so I have no pictures of Christmas. I'll have to get them from my dad and then I'll post a few.

Santa brought us a video camera!! Now we can capture Isabella's childhood on video! Unfortunately, our computer most likely will not support such advanced technology, so we won't be able to edit (or possibly even share) our videos until we get a new computer or else some added stuff. It's always something...

Isabella got lots of toys, books, and clothes. Annie bought her a year's worth of carbon offsets, so she will be carbon neutral for at least the next year of her life. She is really starting to realize that her mouth is there for more than just eating! Although she is not coordinated enough to bring things to her mouth yet, she sometimes opens her mouth really wide when we're playing with a toy and she enjoys tasting and mouthing the toy. She likes things that make noise and also things with lights and colors. She is starting to enjoy her bouncy seat more because she likes looking at the moving animals and the lit up waterfall while she listens to the music.

Today, Nana and GrandBob were here while we gave her a bath. She is such a good baby! Although she doesn't generally smile while in the bathtub, she certainly doesn't fuss! I think she's really going to enjoy the water. We can't wait to take her to the beach and also to the pool this summer!
