You'd think she couldn't breathe in there, but we stopped worrying about that a long time ago!
We had a "playdate" yesterday with 3 of our little friends from Baby and Me class. Josslyn is 2 days older than Isabella and Sam and Ella are somewhere around 2 months old. For those of you who are wondering what happens at a playdate with infants who can't even sit up yet...the mommies sit around talking and entertaining their own babies. There is a lot of oohing and aahhing over how cute everyone else's baby is and lots of "when did your baby start _____ (fill in the blank)" and "oh, good, I'm glad we're not the only ones who ______ (fill in the blank)" and "what do you do when _____ (fill in the blank)". It is nice to hang out with moms who have babies about the same age, even if they're not ready to play together yet. I have other things (besides babies) in common with the moms, since we all have somewhat related careers. One is a speech/language pathologist, another is a child psychologist who works mostly with children with autism and other developmental disabilities, and the other one is a teacher. So we had a fun afternoon!

Today is Mom's birthday (Happy Birthday Nana!). She has lovingly offered to babysit Isabella this afternoon while I drive to Clemmons for a baby shower and hope to avoid the worst of the "1 to 2 inches of snow" that is supposed to fall this afternoon. It never snows around here, so why does it have to snow on an afternoon that I have something fun planned?
