Isabella "graduated" to the next size of diapers today! She grew out of Stage 1 (8-12 lbs) and is now wearing Stage 2 (12-18 lbs). We have also noticed that she doesn't really fit into some of her clothes anymore (mostly the NB sizes). She is growing faster than we imagined! Most of the clothes that she wears are the 3 month or 3-6 month size. Another recent change is the enormous amount of "baby acne" that is covering her face(you can't really see it in these pictures)! I had read that this was common but never imagined it would be so much (think back to middle school...yeah, that kid who was cruelly nicknamed "pizza face"...that is Isabella right now). Of course, she is no less beautiful because of it, but I do wish it would go away quickly! It is neat to see how quickly she is changing. She is becoming more alert, staying awake longer, and even her looks are changing. She still has all that hair! But she is gaining a lot of weight, so her face is starting to fill out. She is so cute!
In opposite news, as Isabella is growing, I am shrinking! I excitedly am able to wear most of my pre-pregnancy clothes as of this week! Whoo hoo! It's a good thing, too, because all of my maternity clothes are made for summer. However, it has finally started to cool off around here. Today's high is only about 65 and it is supposed to be in the 30's tonight. For those of you who are following the water situation here in Greensboro, we finally got some rain this week (about 3 days worth!) I don't think it put a huge dent in the drought situation, but every little bit helps!

Isabella and I had our first outing by ourselves yesterday. While Nick was at work, we went to Target. It was a little stressful for me, because since she isn't really on a feeding schedule, she could really wake up and start screaming for food at any moment, even if she just finished eating 20 minutes ago! Luckily, she slept through almost the entire trip! She woke up and cried for a couple of minutes at the beginning, then she went back to sleep. This picture is during her last bath. Her umbilical cord is just barely hanging on, and we predict it will fall off by the end of the day. Once it is off she can start getting tub baths instead of sponge baths. I think she might like the tub bath, as she should be able to stay a little bit warmer.
I have been getting lots of text messages from my sister this week. They spent a couple of days in New Orleans, then drove to Austin. They made a quick stop in New Mexico at the Carlsbad Caverns. When I heard from them today, they were having lunch in Roswell. Annie has friends who live near the Grand Canyon, so I imagine that will be one of their next big stops. As of yesterday, they had already driven 1850 miles!!
