"That baby can EAT!"

The title of this post is a direct quote from Daddy Aceves. It seems like Isabella eats all the time!

We are doing well trying to settle into a routine. By routine I don't mean that she eats every 2 to 3 hours, but just kind of seeing what works and going with it. Last night Isabella and I slept from about 11:30 until 8:00, and she only woke up twice to be fed! The catch is that we are sleeping on the couch together because she is not comforted by sleeping by herself in a crib or bassinet. So even though it's not the most comfortable or desired sleeping situation, it definitely works for now, so that I am getting some sleep. We're trying to keep her in the crib for short amounts of time so that she can get used to it. We're just taking things one day at a time!

We went to the doctor the other day. I can't believe that we made it. Our appointment was supposed to be at 9:00 but we just couldn't make it out of the house! Getting yourself ready and getting a baby who is eating "on demand" is a hard task! We had to reschedule for the afternoon. She left the hospital at 8lbs, 11oz and was back up to 8lbs, 14.5oz at her appointment, which is a good weight gain. They looked at her skin, eyes, ears, color, etc and everything looked fine! We go back when she is two weeks.

The Partins stopped by the other day on their way down to Goldsboro. I can't believe that Riley is 4 already and Caroline is a year and a half! Nick was saying in the hospital the other day that is seems like we were just in the hospital visiting the Partins when Riley was born. It was finally our turn!
