SNOW

It took us about 15 or 20 minutes to get all ready to go out in the snow today...and spent about 10 minutes outside. It is cold! And still precipitating (not snowing). I think we got about 7 or 8 inches last night but today it has been sleeting/freezing raining all day long. Not a lot of fun. But at this point it doesn't look like the ice is sticking to the trees and power lines so there is still a good chance that we won't lose power. BUT they say the wind will really pick up today. We've got our fingers crossed.

Isabella did ok in the snow today (she still doesn't like walking in it, and will do so only reluctantly and if we are holding her hands). Of course today's snow is much deeper than when it snowed in December. We pulled her around on her sled, which she likes. But poor thing, it was sleeting in her face so we would look down and she had her hand up to protect her face. But she wasn't complaining about it! We didn't stay out long.

Unfortunately, it is not good snowman snow; it is much too powdery. If I weren't pregnant, we would drop Isabella off at my parents' house and go sledding, because I LOVE SLEDDING!! But somehow, I don't think that is a responsible course of action.

I am wondering how many days off work will result from this storm? The temps are supposed to be sub-freezing at least through Monday. I don't even think it is all that pretty out there because there is no snow in the trees. I am thankful there is no ice in the trees but I think that snowy tree look is so peaceful. It is going to take a while to go away because we really have a lot out there!

Shaina didn't like the snow too much either. If you are off of school for a while, let's get together and compare bellies!!! I'm sure Shaina and Isabella would enjoy playing with eachother.
