Still waiting...

We're doing everything that we can to get ready for Isabella and to take our minds off of the fact that she's not here yet! Today we cleaned house. No, I'm not "nesting"! I don't think that nesting is in my personality anywhere, even as a 40 week pregnant woman! Nick is really behind this cleaning spree, but I am helping, so as to keep active.

Yesterday we walked all the way around Battleground Park (I only had to stop and rest once!). Then I went shopping at the mall with Robyn. She was looking for maternity clothes while I was ogling the regular clothes - as much as elastic waistbands are really my best friend, I will be so happy to put on a pair of regular jeans again! And it is almost fall...I love fall clothing! So as if I wasn't very tired after those two outings, our TV broke yesterday and so we had to go to two of my least favorite stores...Circuit City and Best Buy. So now we have a new tv, 2 or 3 years before we had planned to buy one. And last night we ate at Rearn Thai, where I had the Drunken Noodle (and Nick had the spicy chicken with basil - it was definitely a tribute to the Partins), medium spicy, which is about twice as spicy as I usually eat anything.

Spicy food, walking, cleaning, and still no baby! Of course, I shouldn't be too antsy, because I haven't even reached my due date yet!

Guylene said that in France they always say that babies come either 3 days before (that's today) or 3 days after (that's Saturday) the full moon (Wednesday). We went to the doctor on Friday and nothing has really changed although she has dropped a small amount. If I make it to next Friday, we will have a non-stress test, to make sure Isabella is doing alright, and then we'll go from there. They could possibly schedule an induction in the first few days of October. October!!! Well, at least I know that we only have to wait 2 weeks at the latest. But when we (and everyone else in our lives) are looking at our due date as tomorrow, 2 weeks seems like an awfully long time!

Nick is having a good day - his 49ers are actually being broadcast on tv here today (a rare occasion) and he gets to watch them on his brand new flat screen TV! Of course, they are losing, but at least he can see them for once.

I'm going to eat some pineapple tonight...I just read that one on the Internet. I don't really believe in any of these labor induction home remedies. I really think she'll just come when she's ready, but I guess it doesn't hurt to try!

Thanks to all of you who have called to check in! I'll talk to you soon!

Rearn Thai -- yum! Maybe it takes a while for the spicy food to do it's "thing"? There's always the massage I was telling you about, which sounds like my natural induction method of choice!

You're so close! We'll have to have a baby play date in the future. Hang in there, like you have a choice. :) By the way you look fabulous and your nursery is oh sooo cute! I'm heading to the docs today and hoping nothing has changed. Its too early for me to be 1 cm and 75% effaced. I hope only you are effected by the full moon! Best wishes!
