So we had another appointment today. I was hooked up to a monitor that measured Isabella's heartbeat for 20 minutes. In order to "pass the test", her heartbeat had to go above the baseline by 15 at least twice. She wanted to sleep, so the nurse had to ring a cowbell ("I have a fever, and the only cure is more cowbell!"), yes, she rang a cowbell, an actual cowbell (which I don't think I've seen since my swim team days at Friendly Pool; who was that Annie, the Bryant's dad?) - really loudly - beside my belly. That seemed to wake her up. She also gave me some cold water, which got her moving a little bit too. Anyway, she passed the test, which means she's doing fine. My cervix doesn't seem to have really changed much since last time. They scheduled my next appointment for 1 week away.
But the BIG news is that if she doesn't come by next Thursday, October 4, I will be induced. I have an appointment for 9:45 pm, so even if I do make it that far, I think that appointment is too late for Isabella to be born on Sarah Covell's birthday.
So hopefully if you're reading this, you'll send me lots of labor-inducing vibes so that we can meet Isabella before October 4 or 5!
